When Gabrielle „Gabi” Pettito, 22, and fiancé Brian Laundry, 23, set out on a road trip across the United States in a converted Ford Transit in July on Long Island (the east coast of the United States), neither of them suspected they were a part of it. A frightening criminal case for the FBI.

But Laundry plays the incident in front of the camera, and says, „This was just a small argument.” He assures the police that he will not inform Gabe. „She is my fiancée and I love her.”
However, the police decided to separate the couple overnight: Laundrie was placed in a hotel, and Petito remained in the van.
